Giannasso Hair & Beauty’s Graziella Wins Competition in ‘Avant Garde’ Category
THE JOSHUA Galvin Hair Academy in Bethnal Green staged it’s most successful competition yet for apprentices at the legendary Wella Studio in London’s West End. We are thrilled to announce that our lovely apprentice, Graziella Liquori was voted WINNER of the ‘Year One Avant Garde’ category. She created a shop stopping style that gave the illusion of a beautiful hat worn at an angle on the head (see below).
It was a great honour to be part of the competition and I’m super thrilled to be the winner. A huge thank you goes to the JG Academy my teacher and Sergio for supporting and helping me in the process. Also thank you for Lauren my gorgeous model. Looking forward to comes next!
Graziella beat off stiff competition from lots of other talented young hair stylists who all train at the Academy’s centre in Hollybush Gardens, created striking looks that wowed the judges in the annual photographic hairdressing competition finals held at the Wella Studio in The Strand.
The competition attracted a record number of entries with apprentices from across London, Essex and Hertfordshire submitting photographic entries to be considered by first round judges including super stylists Anne Veck and Gianni Scumaci. In total, 30 competitors were chosen to go through to the grand final. Choosing either an Avant Garde or a What’s Hot look, the hairdressers had to create an overall look that included clothes styling and make-up. The results produced on the day were stunning with amazing hair styles often accompanied by incredibly intricate costumes.
Congratulations to Graziella fro all the team at Giannasso Hair & Beauty salon in Covent Garden – we’re very proud of you! To book an appointment at our award-winning salon in London’s West End by calling us on
