L’Oreal IT Looks Autumn / Winter 2014

The recent launch of the new A/W fashion 2014 fashion season has been all about being bold and reinventing yourself. We saw plenty of this on the catwalks during the recent New York, London, Paris and Milan fashin weeks recently.

This has certainly been reflected in the hair trends we’ve seen emerge in Autumn/Winter 2014. With the help of this season’s IT Look girls – fashion, beauty and style influencers, Jerry Hall, Loan Chabanol, and Helena Bordon –  L’Oreal has led the way in showing us the hottest hair trends of the moment.

The Golden Lob worn by Jerry Hall

L'oreal IT Looks-2014-jerry hall lobWe’re used to seeing this gorgeous, leggy fashion icon with her signature long, tumbling golden locks – a look she’s worn for 40 years. But the model has proven just how beautiful and refreshing reinvention can be. Under the expert hands of stylist Seb Bascle,  gone are the long tresses, and in their place is a trendy ‘lob’ or long bob. The lob allows you to retain length while adding bounce and texture. The warm golden tones add vibrancy to the overall look. Celebs who’ve adopted this look include Keri Hilson, Heidi Klum and Cheryl Versini-Fernandez.

The Copper Pixie worn by Loan Chabanol

LOreal IT AW 2014 COPPER PIXIE Loan ChabanolThe pixie cut has been all the rage since last season, and we’ve seen it worn by the likes of big names like Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, and Miley Cyrus. French actress Loan Chabanol’s copper pixie take us a step further and shows us a more youthful and contemporary take on the classic pixie. This longer, softer version with the vibrant copper tones makes for a more feminine but bold statement

Ash blonde bangs/fringe and waves

LOreal IT Looks Helena Bordon ash blonde waves and fringeA big trend we’ve seen on the catwalks this season are loose, tousled waves. Brazilian fashion blogger has combined this with a statement fringe/bangs, reminiscent of the 70s – think Farah Fawcett in Charlie’s Angels. This, coupled with an ash blonde shade, makes for a warmer, more sophisticated look – a great way to update your blonde for this season
